Equestrian or horse riding has historically been a sport of the elite. These days it has developed into a much admired sport. There are two types of equestrian discipline-the English riding and Western Riding. Summer camps on horse riding are meant to give boys and girls the full opportunity of horsemanship through instruction, time in the saddle on trails, and the care and responsibility of having their own horse. Beginners are taught to groom, tackle, bridle and saddle, ride, and cool out their mount. As a rider gains confidence, he or she practices equitation over fences in the ring and out in the field. They learn to use her head, hands, seat, and legs to communicate with her mount. Equestrian camps help to build confidence, security in the saddle, and communication with the horse.
