Camps are a great place for competitive swimmers to improve their stroke technique, starts and turns, and overall performance. Do your hands trace an 'S' pattern through the water? Do you kick from the hips, and not the knees? Can you breathe on alternate sides? Swimming is a skill that involves hand entry, catch, pull, exit and recovery, plus kicking and breathing! A few lessons can really make a big difference in how you benefit. The drills and tips given at summer camps always help to develop skills as well as improve the skills of those who already know the basics of swimming.
