Which pitches are best for you or your athletes? When is it safe to start throwing curve balls? Frank Anderson answers many of the common questions about choosing pitches. In all, Coach Anderson covers six different pitches: fastball, change up, curve ball, slider, splitter, and the knuckle ball, discussing at least two variations of each pitch. Each pitch includes an overview, complete mechanics and grips, how the pitch moves, and the effect it has on the batter. More than 15 total pitch variations are included. Anderson also demonstrates a process for evaluating every pitcher's strengths and weaknesses, and how to best implement these pitches into their repertoire.
