Dan Gable: Pinning from the Standing Position (DVD)
with Dan Gable, won 15 NCAA Championships and 21 straight Big Ten Titles as the University of Iowa head coach; as a wrestler, went undefeated in high school (IA) and won 2 NCAA titles at Iowa State University. Gable won the Olympic Gold Medal in '72 and went on to coach the Freestyle Olympic teams in '80, '84, and 2000.
Going on the "Attack, control, execute" philosophy, wrestling icon Dan Gable presents a number of great opportunities to earn back points and/or the fall from the standing position. Gable believes that for any wrestler to be successful, they must force the action. By doing that, you can move your opponent into position to score the fall, instead of just settling for two points. Gable covers more than 10 ways to turn your opponent to his back - turning your wrestler's defense into offense. Techniques covered include the Knee Tap, picks, Fireman's Carry, Near Arm/Far leg, Head Lock, as well as a number of options to score defensive pins. As a bonus, Gable covers pinning moves from the 2-on-1 tie-up. Don't let your wrestlers settle for just two points on their takedowns - get them to earn the fall!

Jeff Swenson: The Augsburg Cradle (DVD)
with Jeff Swenson, Augsburg College Athletic Director; former Augsburg College Head Wrestling Coach; 10X NCAA Division III National Championship Coach; 13X MIAC Coach of the Year, 6X NWCA National Coach of the Year, inducted into the NCAA Division III Wrestling Coaches Hall of Fame in 2005.
Jeff Swenson led Augsburg to a record-10 NCAA Division III national championships - one of only three NCAA schools to have won 10 or more wrestling national titles. While building the squad into a national small-college wrestling powerhouse, Swenson's philosophy was to dominate the top position. To that extent, Swenson developed this cradle series. The series' success is predicated on the clamp, which Swenson covers in-depth. The clamp is a dominating breakdown and ride that can be used as a set-up to a number of pinning combinations. Swenson focuses on the far-side cradle, teaching the proper technique on two different finishes. In addition, Swenson demonstrates seven other cradle finishes based on how the opponent reacts. This series has been developed over 16 years of trial and error and is a proven way to earn back points. This series developed such a reputation that opposing wrestlers would choose neutral instead of selecting down to get the "easy" one-point escape.

Becoming a Champion Wrestler: Breakdowns-Stopping the First Move(DVD)
with John Smith, Oklahoma State University Head Coach, 2006, '05, '04, '03 & 1995 NCAA Champions; 2X Olympic Gold Medalist and NCAA Champion.
You cannot successfully pin your opponent until you are able to break him down to the mat. Coach Smith presents a number of potent breakdowns - both from the top position and from the feet - which will get you working for a fall. Smith covers three breakdowns on the mat: the chop, spiral ride and ankle pick. He covers the proper techniques for all three and then shows different scenarios in which they are most effective. He dedicates a lot of time to the chop, covering three variations of the chop to counter the stand-up. The spiral ride is most effective against a tripod and the ankle pick can lead to a turk position. The second part of the DVD is dedicated to bringing your opponent back to the mat if he happens to get to his feet. Smith demonstrates four simple, yet effective ways to safely put your opponent on the mat and take him out of his offense. These techniques are the same ones Smith teaches his wrestlers at Oklahoma State and have been a big difference in helping the Cowboys win four straight NCAA Championships.

Gable Coached Individual Workout (DVD)
with Dan Gable, wrestling legend; won 15 NCAA Championships and 21 straight Big Ten Titles as the University of Iowa head coach; as a wrestler, went undefeated in high school (IA) and won 2 NCAA titles at Iowa State University. Gable won the Olympic Gold Medal in '72 and went on to coach the Freestyle Olympic teams in '80, '84, and 2000.
Wrestling icon Dan Gable presents a number of individual workout drills that cover conditioning situations and explosive movements. These drills are ideal for the individual wrestler looking to supplement his workouts. Gable begins with a "Morning workout" that is designed to get the athlete ready to go all out. Hip heists, shoulder rolls and more not only get the wrestlers ready for hard workouts, but they also work on conditioning. From there Gable divides the presentation into four areas: Finishes, Set-ups, Set-ups and Finishes and Stance and Motion work. Each area contains at least four drill sequences that give your wrestlers the technique work out they need to ensure they score the takedown. Gable focuses on head driven finishes that will keep the opponent off balance. These sessions can last 10-15 minutes - or less depending how you mix and match based on your wrestler's needs.
