Shield Manufacturing hired a bridge engineer to design the plastic shafts on their floor hockey sticks. Unless you cut one open, you'll never see what was done, but your program will certainly benefit from it. In effect, the shaft was reinforced at its key stress points. This gives you a stick that's at least 50% stronger than any other on the market. In addition, all Shield sticks feature a unique, "Safety Butt" with a flared end that prevents the stick from flying out of its user's hands. All blades are replaceable and are of fiberglass (low-density on elementary 36" models). All shafts are rectangular in shape for better control. Patented poly shafts.
