Sportime Equalizer Set
Sportime has changed the paradigm of physical education, perhaps like no other single company, in any educational discipline, has ever done before. However, nothing we have ever done has brought with it a level of satisfaction more fulfilling than the Equalizer. It provides differently abled children and adults an opportunity to play floor hockey, tee ball, golf, basketball. There's even an option that includes a pitch-back net and basketball launcher. The Equalizer was born of the dreams and unselfish dedication of two adapted physical educators from Terre Haute, Indiana. We consider ourselves privileged that they elected to put their dreams into our hands. It was not an easy task, but after two years of engineering and testing, we were able to manufacture a product that succeeds beyond anything its creators or we could have hoped for. In so doing, we have succeeded in opening new vistas on active play, providing opportunities of "Inclusion" that had not existed before. Bungee Partners The various pieces of sports equipment that can be mounted to the Equalizer use the variable power of strategically placed Bungee cords to provide user activated assist. Bungees are used to propel the putter, swing the bat and return the hockey sticks to their correct position and, with our "option package," shoot a basketball. Free Standing And Chair Mounted The Equalizer is fabricated from high-tech aluminum, welded at key support positions and electrostatic epoxy finished. The basic unit comes with everything required for use as both a free-standing or wheelchair-mounted activity center. The floor stand is designed in such a way that it is anchored by the weight of the wheel chair.
