Climbing the Walls provides information and support as well as creative wall activities to assist the climbing wall facilitator in the development of a program that is safe, fun and educationally rewarding. The Second Edition of Climbing the Walls includes many new activities and resources, and an improved layout and format. It is organized into six sections: an Introduction, Introductory Activities, Core Activities, Cross-Curricular Activities, Challenge Activities and an Appendix. The Appendix includes safety and maintenance information and many other valuable resources to enable you to make your climbing wall unit the best it can be. 136 pages.

Choose Well, Be Well promotes awareness of proper nutrition and exercise through a variety of fun, physical activities. Children will learn the key components of the new MyPyramid food pyramid and develop an understanding of the importance of adopting healthy exercise and nutrition habits. This package includes a full-color food pyramid activity board, 23” x 35” in size, with a dry-erase and magnet-accepting surface; a set of 30 food magnets; hardware and a detailed 54 page activity guide divided by grade levels (first through eighth).

Climbing for Character weaves character education with the world of climbing! It is a unique curriculum that has been designed to support the development of eight key character traits: Honesty, Courage, Diligence, Responsibility, Kindness and Caring, Respect, Trustworthiness and Service to Others. Climbing for Character contains introductory information as well as background information on character education.

It also includes detailed lessons on all eight character traits for students in primary, middle and upper grades. These lessons include definitions of each trait, suggested actions and activities to model each trait on the wall and reminder posters for placement near the climbing wall. To further enhance the development of these character traits, we have included a take-home component with each lesson to engage parents in this important topic. 160 pages.

Children can participate in a “climb” across the country, learn the locations of states and capitals and unscramble facts about our great nation all while enhancing their physical fitness levels. The Climb Across America poster features a large, colorful map of the United States and an area for adding facts about each state.

The write-on, wipe-off surface allows for even more versatility with activities. It also has magnetic capabilities for accepting each state’s name and capital magnets (included).
