Coach Snyder, former player for and then assistant with Mike Krzyzewski, is now establishing a successful coaching career at the University of Missouri. In this video, Snyder demonstrates the defensive "absolutes" that he has acquired throughout his coaching career. This video will teach and demonstrate this effective and tournament-tested defensive system including five defensive "absolutes:" Stance, Position, Vision, Talk, and Hit & Go. Snyder helps teach these defensive "absolutes" through competitive three-on-three drills progressing to five-on-five defensive drills. In addition, Coach Snyder provides an inside look into his defensive principles including six denial routes, interchange and denial, four half-court shell drills, as well as defending back, down, and flare screens and three half-court trapping situations. Snyder also shares competitive practice drills that emulate game-like situations and help reinforce these defensive "absolutes" into your player's everyday basketball experience. In addition to learning fundamental defensive components, the lessons in this video will help your players acquire the knowledge to become complete basketball players. All of these concepts, and the drills used to teach them, combine to develop a dominating, cohesive defensive unit.
