Singles Tennis Strategy: Playing Smart Tennis

This video breaks down the game of tennis into five areas. The categories include defense, rally, dictate, transition, and finishing zone. The tape explores the correct percentage play from each area. Additionally, the serve, return, passing shots, and counter-attacking shots are included as separate areas bringing the total to nine. There is a tendency for teaching professionals to teach how to stroke the ball but not where to place it. It is crucial that players understand how to set up a point, counter-attack, as well as how to finish.
