Bocce is a perfect game of inclusion, requiring an underhand toss of a weighted, hand-held ball. The objective of the game is to place the ball(s) closest to the target (in this case, a small target ball, often called the "jack." Variations on this concept are shared by numerous games played in different countries, and include sports like Boules, Curling and even marbles. However, since competition Bocce balls have always been rock hard (made of wood or composites), the game is restricted to soft surfaces; predominantly outdoors on dirt, clay or grass. Using our world-famous Ultimax, 2-ply roto-molding process (see "Ultimax" in the index), we were able to mold it to official size, while formulating the internal ply to duplicate the official weight. We were also able to formulate the outside ply, to provide for a soft foam, all-floor-safe landing.
