Teaching Rejuvenating Yoga provides a comprehensive review of a challenging, progressively demanding sequence of seated and standing Hatha yoga poses. Designed for all levels of ability and fitness, the poses are cued at three levels of difficulty. The DVD features a class that begins with a seated centering and ends with a restorative, progressively guided relaxation. The benefits of each pose are clearly explained with specific cuing instructions. Among the topics covered: how to teach an array of seated and standing yoga poses that are designed to challenge and help improve a participant’s level of strength, flexibility, and balance, how to teach a logically progressive flow series at three levels of difficulty, how to improve a participant’s breathing, level of focus, and concentration, and how to cue the poses so precisely that a visually impaired person can successfully practice yoga. Produced in cooperation with the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).
